New Hampshire Food Advisory Council
The purpose of the New Hampshire Food Advisory Council, convened by the Children's Alliance of NH and FSNE, is to address the sustainability and accessibility of New Hampshire’s food system in a creative and comprehensive way by improving the health of our food system and increasing access to nutritious, affordable food that is produced in a sustainable and fair manner for all of New Hampshire’s citizens– beginning with children. This systems-based approach is designed to address the immediate needs of those directly experiencing hunger as well as to build intermediate and long term strategies to address the causes of hunger and inadequate food intake experienced by many vulnerable residents in New Hampshire. The final strategic plan for mitigating childhood hunger in NH was released in the fall of 2012.
